NFL Trade Deadline Extended To Thursday

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 11:39 p.m. ET

As a precaution for possible complications which Hurricane Sandy could levy, the NFL trade deadline has been pushed back two days until Thursday. Each of the 32 NFL teams were also notified Monday that the league's offices would be closed through Tuesday because of the storm.  The new trade deadline is now officially set for Thursday at 4 p.m. ET.  If you recall, this is not the first time that the deadline has been moved this year. The original trade deadline was already moved back two weeks to October 30th following league negotiations with the players' union.  Obviously, the NFL didn't take my fantasy football team into account when deciding to extend the deadline.
