OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Phoenix Suns are short-handed for their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, with three players acquired in a trade with Orlando yet to join the team.
Phoenix coach Alvin Gentry said Sunday night that the Suns "are going to try" to bring in Marcin Gortat, Vince Carter and Mickael Pietrus before Monday night's game at San Antonio, but he doesn't know if that will happen.
If not, the trio would likely debut with the Suns on Thursday against Miami in Phoenix.
The Suns did get All-Star point guard Steve Nash back after he missed most of the previous game with a neck stinger sustained against Dallas. Joining him in the starting lineup were Chris Dudley, Grant Hill, Channing Frye and Robin Lopez.
