MSU-Rutgers game postponed by blizzard
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights had planned for a "black out" Tuesday night, encouraging fans to all wear black to the basketball game against Michigan State.
Instead, it's turned into a "white out."
Literally.
The potentially historic snowstorm headed for the East Coast has forced the postponement of the MSU-Rutgers game in Piscataway, N.J.
The Spartans got the news Monday afternoon about an hour before they were supposed to leave Lansing on a chartered flight after moving up the departure time in hopes of getting to New Jersey before the storm hit.
The game has been rescheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. and will be televised by the Big Ten Network.
Rutgers confirmed the postponement with an announcement released on Twitter.
The #RHoops game versus @MSU_Basketball slated for a 9 PM tip-off tomorrow night at the RAC has been POSTPONED. Additional details pending.
