TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING PRESS RELEASE

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning will be hosting the NHL Centennial Fan Arena Tour at AMALIE Arena from Thursday, December 7 through Saturday, December 9. The free event will take place each day from 1-7 p.m. in the Silver Lot, located next to Ford Thunder Alley.

The NHL Centennial Fan Arena Tour is a celebration of the NHL’s 100 years of existence and the Lightning’s 25-year history, and gives fans the unique opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the league’s history by walking through the NHL Mobile Museum and having the chance to see the Stanley Cup. The 53-foot mobile museum truck, the highlight of the event, is an innovative way for fans to learn the history of the game through digital displays, unique photo moments and original video content.

On Saturday from noon until 12:45 p.m., 2004 Stanley Cup hero Ruslan Fedotenko will be attending the event to pose for photos with fans. Those in attendance will have the chance to compete against each other in a virtual reality experience of racing a Zamboni to resurface the ice. Other fun activities for fans include a rock climbing wall, human gyroscope, bungee trampoline and more. The Lightning’s live streamed ‘Morning Skate Show’ will be broadcast on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. on the NHL Centennial Fan Arena Tour stage.

Lightning M.A.D.E. will be collecting used hockey gear as part of the NHL’s Recycle the Game initiative. The Community Hockey department will also be running clinics and games on the pop-up ball hockey rink each day, teaching the fundamentals of hockey and running mini tournaments.

The USA Women’s hockey team will also be signing autographs and taking photos with fans on Thursday evening on the NHL Centennial Fan Arena Tour stage from 5:30 until 6 p.m.
