Lightning recall Jonathan Marchessault from Syracuse


TAMPA BAY -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Jonathan Marchessault from the Syracuse Crunch on Thursday, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Marchessault, 24, played in two Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Lightning last season. He also appeared in two games with the Bolts during the 2014-15 regular season, recording one goal. Marchessault scored his first career NHL goal on April 11, 2015 in the Lightning's regular season finale against the Boston Bruins. The 5-foot-9, 174-pound forward skated in four preseason games with the Lightning in 2015, recording one assist.
The Cap-Rouge, Quebec native has skated in seven games with the Crunch this season, posting three goals and five points to go along with four penalty minutes. Marchessault ranks first on the Crunch for goals and is tied for the team lead for points. He also ranks second on Syracuse with 25 shots.
