The King has South Florida's back in bad weather.
During a Saturday afternoon ride through Coral Gables, Miami Heat superstar LeBron James came across urban flooding and warned his followers through pictures posted to his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
"Miami ain't always sunshine! Mother nature ain't nothing to mess with. Rain rain go away, come back..." he wrote.
The National Weather Service office in Miami picked up on the alert by James and included it in their official weather report.

Given the severe weather that often hits the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area, the local NWS office relies on citizens for on-the-ground reporting. The organization trains people through its Skywarn program on how to recognize and report severe weather incidents. They also accept accounts from the general public.
There is no word on whether James might pursue storm chasing or meteorology once his NBA career ends. If former Heat star Shaquille O'Neal can become a reserve officer for the Miami Beach Police department, though, we're guessing anything is possible.
