For the second consecutive year, Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber has struck out over 200 batters. Wednesday night against the Boston Red Sox, Corey Kluber stuck out Red Sox OF Alejandro De Aza to record strikeout No. 200.

He is just the seventh pitcher in Indians history to record consecutive seasons of 200+ strikeouts. Bartolo Colon last accomplished the feat in 2000 and 2001.

Kluber also recorded his 200th strikeout this season on almost the exact same day as last season. This year, Kluber recorded No. 200 on Aug. 19 while last season he recorded No. 200 on Aug. 21.

The 202 strikeouts rank third in the MLB this year. This season, Kluber is 8-13 with a 3.52 ERA and 4.9 Wins above Replacement (WAR).
