Kipnis, Frazier named team Heart & Hustle Award winners
Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis and Cincinnati Reds' third baseman Todd Frazier were named the Indians and Reds MLB Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Heart & Hustle Award winner. It's the third time Kipnis recieved the award and the first for Frazier.

Each year, one player from each Major League team is chosen by the MLBPAA based on passion, desire, and work ethic demonstrated both on and off the field per the MLBPAA press release. The Heart & Hustle Award is the only award in Major League Baseball that is voted on by former players.
At the end of the season, fans, alumni and active players will vote to select the final winner from the 30 team winners. The final winner will be announced Nov. 10 at the 16th Annual Legends for Youth Dinner in New York City.
Previous overall winners include Grady Sizemore (2008), Albert Pujols (2009), Roy Halladay (2010), Torii Hunter (2011), Mike Trout (2012), Dustin Pedroia (2013) and Josh Harrison (2014).
The season, Kipnis is hitting .326 with a .405 OBP and .485 SLG, posting a 5.0 Wins above Replacement (WAR). The Indians second baseman has 117 hits, 27 doubles, 6 triples, 6 home runs and 31 RBI.
