Johnny Football, the horse, finishes last in first race
Hopefully nobody on the Texas A&M football team believes in bad omens after Johnny Football -- the horse -- finished dead last in its race at Belmont Park on Wednesday just days before Johnny Manziel -- the human -- is set to face Alabama on Saturday.
The horse, named after the Heisman-winning Aggie quarterback thanks to a suggestion to owner Bill Casner by one of his vets who happens to be a Texas A&M alum, started the race strong leading at the turn but faded down the stretch resulting in the distant last-place finish.

The human Johnny Football is hoping he won't suffer a similar fate as the Crimson Tide roll in to College Station on Saturday seeking revenge for last season's upset in Tuscaloosa.
The horse Johnny Football did receive $2,250 in winnings for its maiden start, and even managed to finish the race without any air autographs or 'show me the money' hand signs.
