When your power play is ranked dead last in the NHL, you know things need to change. You can always point to not having Kristian Huselius being in the lineup, but that excuse is flimsy at best. You can point at the 1-3-1 or the 1-2-2 structure, but that's not it either. This has more to do with a mind-set than anything else.
To be able to score, you have to shoot. The problem is, this team doesn't have power-play blue-liners who like to shoot. Both Kris Russell and Anton Stralman are apprehensive to fire the puck.
