'Harry Potter' actor, with MMA wins over Dan Severn and Herb Dean, dies

An actor best known for his role in "Harry Potter" with a notable mixed martial arts background has died.
Dave Legeno, who played Fenrir Greyback in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," died this week in California's Death Valley in a possible heat-related incident, per the Inyo County Sheriff's Department (h/t Deadline.com). Legeno's last two MMA bouts came against UFC luminaries Dan Severn and Herb Dean, both victories.
Legeno, 50, a native of England, also had a significant role in "Snow White and The Huntsman." His body was found Sunday morning by hikers and later airlifted out of a remote area of Death Valley, where temperatures can reach upward of 120 degrees. The Inyo County Sheriff's Department said there were no signs of foul play.
Legeno was 4-3 as an MMA fighter with all of his fights coming in England under the Cage Rage banner. He owned wins over the likes of Severn, Dean and Kimo Leopoldo. In his last bout in 2007, Legeno beat Dean, the UFC's most well-known referee, by TKO when Dean could not continue due to an eye injury.
Former UFC champion Evan Tanner died in a similar way, of heat exposure in the California desert in 2008.
