Happyness wins Belmont feature

NEW YORK (AP) Happyness won the $80,000 allowance feature Wednesday at Belmont Park, improving her U. S. record to 2 for 2.

The gray 4-year-old returned from almost a year layoff to win at Aqueduct in April. The latest score was a 1 1/2-length victory over Queen's Parade, improving her overall record to 3-1-1 in five starts.

The British-bred filly started her career in France before joining Chad Brown's stable.

Irad Ortiz, Jr. was aboard for the 1 1/4 miles in 2:00.63.

Happyness paid $3.70, $2.60 and $2.10.

Queen's Parade returned $2.90 and $2.20, and Return to Grace paid $2.90 to show.
