Gyurta, Kromowidjojo lead European Duel in the Pool roster
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) Olympic champions Daniel Gyurta of Hungary and Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands lead the European roster for the Duel in the Pool competition against the United States on Dec. 11-12.
The Americans are led by Olympic champions Ryan Lochte and Missy Franklin for the meet in Indianapolis. The U.S. is 6-0 since the competition began.
Other top swimmers on the European roster include Yuliya Efimova and Vladimir Morozov of Russia, Lotte Friis and Jeanette Ottesen of Denmark, Katinka Hosszu and Laszlo Cseh of Hungary, Hannah Miley and James Guy of Britain and Gregorio Paltrinieri of Italy.
Swimmers will be competing for over $120,000 in prize money. The winning team earns a portion of the pot and individual race winners also receive money. World records are worth bonus money.
