FOX Sports Wisconsin Midweek Stock Report for July 29

Published Jul. 29, 2015 3:30 p.m. ET

Welcome to our new weekly feature, the Midweek Stock Report.

Every Wednesday, we'll take a look at whose stock is trending up and whose is trending down.

Jonathan Lucroy

It has been a tough season for the Milwaukee Brewers catcher, but he might just be getting into his groove. Lucroy played in seven games this past week, batting .385 (10 for 26) with a .914 OPS and three doubles.

Gerardo Parra

Already a hot trade deadline candidate, the Milwaukee Brewers outfielder did nothing to dissuade that in the past week. In seven games, Parra hit .435 (10 for 23) with a .519 on-base percentage and .565 slugging percentage. He also scored seven runs and, for good measure, stole a base.

Wily Peralta

Have to give credit to Peralta, who hadn't pitched in the majors since May 22 and allowed just two runs on five hits in six innings in his return to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Kyle Lohse

The tough season for the Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher continued. He started twice and ended up the losing pitcher on both occasions. In his 11 2/3 innings, Lohse allowed 15 hits (.333 opponent batting average), allowed nine runs (6.94 ERA) and had twice as many walks (6) as strikeouts (3).

Hernan Perez

Given a chance to be the starting third baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers after the trade of Aramis Ramirez, Perez had a tough first week. In six  games, Perez batted just .190 (4 for 21) with no walks, runs or RBI.

Jean Segura

While Parra might have helped his cause (and the Brewers' asking price) in trade talks, Milwaukee's shortstop did the opposite. In six games, Segura had just three hits -- all singles -- in 23 at-bats. He reach base in any other way, as he had no walks, and also struck out six times.
