Former Tigers pitcher Jack Morris to join Allen, Impemba as analyst on FSD

FOX Sports Detroit is thrilled to announce that former Major League Baseball pitcher Jack Morris will join Rod Allen and Mario Impemba in the booth as an additional game analyst for six games, starting Sept. 8.

Morris was a five-time All-Star (1981, 1984, 1985, 1987 and 1991) and played on four World Series Championship teams (1984 Tigers, 1991 Twins and 1992-1993 Blue Jays). He is currently a pre-game color analyst and game analyst for Minnesota Twins telecasts on FOX Sports North. He has also recently been an analyst for MLB broadcasts on FOX Sports 1.

"I'm happy to be joining the FOX Sports Detroit team for these six games," said Morris. "The fans in Detroit have been incredible, and I'm excited to join Rod and Mario in the booth this week."

FOX Sports Detroit's coverage of the Tigers, presented by Belle Tire, continues tonight vs. San Francisco at 6 p.m. with Tigers Live. 

"All of us at FOX Sports Detroit are excited to welcome Jack to our Tigers broadcasting team for the games this week," said Greg Hammaren, senior vice president and general manager of FOX Sports Detroit.  "His unique perspective as a former pitcher will serve Tigers fans well."
