Keeneland's September Yearling Sale topped the $100 million mark with celebrity chef Bobby Flay breeding one of two fillies that were purchased for at least $1.1 million each.

Flaxman Stables Ireland Limited paid Wednesday's top price of $1.45 million for a filly by leading European sire Dubawi, the Irish-bred horse that resides in England. Plans are for the filly to return to Europe.

Stonereath Farm of Paris, Kentucky, paid $1.1 million for a filly by Tiznow-Countess Lemonade bred by Flay. A colt by Bernardini-Yellow Heat sold for $925,000 to Teruo Ono of Japan.

Sales continue through Sept. 21.
