Team Outlook

Jay Gruden, come on down to one of the NFL's most dysfunctional franchises! This team has plenty of interesting fantasy players, and its offense certainly won’t be boring.

Bye week: 10

Quarterback - Robert Griffin III

Ranked 18th among quarterbacks in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring in 2013, and missed the final three games of the season ... Threw for 3,203 yards with 16 touchdowns, and finished fifth among QBs with 489 rushing yards ... Gruden helped Andy Dalton become a productive passer, and RGIII is better than Dalton, so ... How much will Griffin run? Good question. Gruden has said that the read-option will be used in "sprinkles here and there," but that doesn't mean Griffin won't take off from the pocket when he sees an opening ... Griffin is a fantasy QB1 when he plays, but he's a likely injury candidate if he runs a lot. Reward, meet risk.

Running Back - Alfred Morris

Ranked 15th among running backs in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring .. Good, downhill runner, but again doesn't project to catch the ball much ... Sitting on the RB1/RB2 cusp in current rankings ... Not as valuable in PPR formats, where he could be as low as an RB3.

Running Back - Roy Helu

The receiving complement and possible handcuff to Morris ... Caught 31 passes for 251 yards last season.

Wide Receiver - DeSean Jackson

Ranked 10th among wide receivers in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring last season ... Was ninth in receiving yards (1,332), T-11 in receiving TDs (nine) and T-17 in receptions (82) ... Will need to share RGIII’s attention with Pierre Garcon - among others - and doesn't look to be a WR1.

Wide Receiver - Pierre Garcon

Ranked 13th among wide receivers in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring ... Led the league with 113 receptions, and was eighth with 1,346 receiving yards, but scored just five times ... Tough to pick between Garcon and Jackson, but Garcon's volume should be higher, albeit not as high as last year's.

Wide Receiver - Andre Roberts

Ranked 72nd among wide receivers in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring ... Too low in the Redskins' pecking order to be considered in fantasy drafts unless your league is deep.

Tight End - Jordan Reed

Ranked 22nd among tight ends in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring ... Had a few explosive outings, but only played nine games due to concussion issues ... Will Reed be an 80-catch tight end if he stays on the field? Again, there's only one ball here, and a lot of guys want it ... Still, Reed should be considered a top-10 option at this position, with upside if he stays healthy. Griffin reportedly loves him.

Placekicker - Kai Forbath

Ranked 29th in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring, but missed three games due to a groin injury ... Converted 18 of 22 field goals last season, and all 26 of his extra points ... With the Redskins' new and improved offense, Forbath can be considered as your kicker in a 12-team draft.

Team Defense (DST) - Ranked a flukish 10th among DSTs - considering their otherwise awful play - in FOXSports.com fantasy scoring ... Allowed a hideous 478 points, which tied them for 30th in the NFL ... Stay away, as this unit is likely to be porous again.
