Erick Aybar out of Angels' lineup Saturday vs. Mariners
Erick Aybar will not be the in Los Angeles Angels' starting lineup Saturday against the Seattle Mariners.
Whether or not Aybar will see the field remains to be seen, but manager Mike Scioscia prefers it if Aybar not play at all.
Taylor Featherston will start at shortstop in place of Aybar.
Scioscia said Aybar will be available to pinch hit after being removed from the team's series opening 3-1 loss to the Mariners on Friday with a hamstring injury.
The hamstring is still "a little tight," according to Scioscia.
"We'll see if he's available at some point during the game," Scioscia said. "We're going to give him a day to recover and see if he's OK (Sunday)."

Aybar's left the game in the sixth inning on Friday while trying to run out a bunt. It's the second time this season he's had a left hamstring injury.
"It's not quite in the same spot but hamstring's just have a mind of their own and you have to pay attention to them," Scioscia said. "Erick's very durable but there's a limit and you want to make sure he stays above that line when you're out there at risk of losing some appreciable time playing."
Aybar is hitting .262 on the season with a home run and 21 RBI. He's second on the team with five stolen bases.
