Dolphins activate Dion Jordan, cut Damian Williams

Published Oct. 25, 2014 5:09 p.m. ET

The Miami Dolphins moved defensive end Dion Jordan to the active roster Saturday after he completed two separate suspensions.

Jordan, whom the Dolphins traded up to draft third overall in 2013, was originally suspended four games to start the season for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs.

Due to changes in the policy in September, Jordan's suspension was lifted two games early. However, he was also suspended four additional games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

As a rookie last year, Jordan recorded 26 tackles and two sacks.
