Derrick Coleman's greatest desire has always been to not let his hearing impairment slow him down. Well, he's done that and so much more.

The Seahawks fullback is getting ready to play in his first Super Bowl on Feb. 2, but now is a good time to take a look back at where his impressive journey came into national prominence.

FOX Sports West spent some time with Coleman during his days playing for Rick Neuheisel at UCLA. Needless to say, Coleman and his relentless determination made a big impact on everyone who came into contact with him.
