Dave Stewart admits to inquiry on Reds' Aroldis Chapman
The Arizona Diamondbacks sit eight games back of the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers. That's not stopping them from inquiring on one of the top trade targets this deadline.
After a report stating that the D-backs were interested in acquiring Cincinnati Reds closer Aroldis Chapman, GM Dave Stewart didn't back away when asked by reporters in Seattle, where the Diamondbacks are playing the Mariners.

Stewart admitted that he doesn't know where the talks will lead, but the openness is certainly different from what is traditionally seen at this time of year.
On the season, Chapman sports a 1.73 ERA with an astounding 74 strikeouts in 41 2/3 innings pitched.
