Dar Re Mi has come from behind to outduel favorite Buena Vista to win the $10 million Dubai Sheema Classic in the Dubai World Cup.
It was a two-horse race early on with Presious Passion and Golden Sword setting the pace. The field bunched up when that duo faded, and Dar Re Mi, Buena Vista and Spanish Moon vied for the win down the front straight.
Dar Re Mi and jockey William Buick managed to pull away, handing a victory to owner and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
