College Football Week 7 Fantasy Picks
This week’s college football fantasy picks.
After a pretty good week 6 in my college football fantasy picks, I am looking to stay hot in week 7. This week we have some interesting match ups to look at and potentially target.
QB
The first quarterback I will have exposure to this week likely wont be the only quarterback from the game I will have in play. Skyler Howard($5,900) and the Mountaineers of West Virginia could be in for a shootout with Patrick Mahomes($9,400) and the pass heavy Red Raiders.
I will likely have some lineups with both players, but in total will have more exposure to Howard due to the cheaper price and the Raiders having a slightly worse passing defense than West Virginia.

Chad Kelly($6,200) is my next play at quarterback. Kelly can throw for over 300 yards on any given Saturday, and is facing an Arkansas defense that has a decent pass defense ranking, but has had their season average lowered while playing much lesser, sometimes FCS schools. The Razorbacks did give up over 300 yards passing to TCU’s Kenny Hill, as well as over 200 yards to A&M and Alabama. I think Kelly could be in a position to have a big day.
RB
Derrius Guice($4,400) is my first fantasy pick at running back, and is one of my favorite plays this week. While Leonard Fournette continues to sit out due to an ankle injury, Guice is the main back.
Guice is no slouch either. Even with Fournette out recently, Guice has more rushing yards on fewer attempts.
He will be facing a Southern Miss defense that gives up over 150 rushing yards per game. I expect Guice to have at least a 100 yard, one score game, with the potential to do much more.

The next player I like at running back this week is a bit of a trickier call. I am going to target Rutgers’ poor rush defense which ranks 5th in the country in most yards allowed, an average of 269.7 yards per game. The issue arises in Illinois’ running back situation. Ke’Shawn Vaughn was recommended in an earlier article this year, and went for over 100 yards including a 65 yard run. However, after that week he hasn’t had more than 8 attempts in a game, and no more than 31 yards. That’s why I am going with Kendrick Foster($4,100), the closest thing the Illini has had to a consistent back this year. Foster also has the most touchdowns than any other Illini back this season with 4. A little bit of a gamble but with the Scarlet Knight defense I am taking my chances.

Shay Fields($5,000) is my first fantasy pick at receiver this week. Fields is most likely the best receiver the Colorado Buffalos have.
And despite being second on the team in receptions, Fields has more yards than any other Colorado receiver, as well as having the longest touchdown reception at 70 yards. The Buffalos are taking on the worst passing defense in the country in Arizona State, who is still giving up an average of over 400 yards per game this season.
The second receiver I like this week is Georgia’s Isaiah McKenzie($5,000). McKenzie is a potential big game receiver who has not had those types of games the last few weeks.
McKenzie has had two 100 yard games and a multi touchdown performance this season. Vanderbilt doesn’t have an awful pass defense, but they have given up 100 yards to at least one receiver in most of their games this year. I am looking to get McKenzie at a discounted price and low ownership.
