Clemson's Sammy Watkins hauls in 96-yard touchdown
Sammy Watkins is having another All-American season.
After battling injuries and suspensions during his sophomore campaign, the 2011 freshman All-American has returned to the explosive wideout the Clemson offense needed following the departure of top playmakers DeAndre Hopkins and Andre Ellington this past offseason.
Entering Saturday's game against Virginia, Watkins had already logged 58 receptions for 813 yards and five scores, including a school-record 14 catches for 163 yards against Maryland a week prior. He ranked 14th nationally in receiving yards, first in the ACC.
Well, the Cavaliers' defense has done little to nothing to slow Watkins down.
Watkins ran up 169 yards and two touchdowns against Virginia, including a 96-yard sprint that simply added insult to injury by running the score up to 42-7. What does 96 yards through the air look like? Here you go:
