There is a reason they call Cardinals fans the best in baseball.
The Cardinals on FOX Sports Midwest scored the highest local market TV ratings in MLB in 2014, according to data provided by Nielsen.
-- Cardinals games on FOX Sports Midwest averaged a 7.9 household rating average/99,000 St. Louis households.
-- 15th straight season the Cardinals ranked in MLB's top three.
-- The Cardinals (7.9) were followed by the Tigers (7.7 and last year's ratings champ), Pirates (7.7), Royals (6.7) and Indians (6.1).
The Cardinals were also No. 1 in prime time.
-- Since the start of the 2014 MLB season on March 31, Cardinals telecasts on FOX Sports Midwest have been the highest-rated and most-viewed programming on prime time television in St. Louis
