BURST: Aztecs retire Gwynn's No. 19 jersey

The San Diego State Aztec baseball team retired the late Tony Gwynn's No. 19 jersey at the team's opening game vs. Valparaiso University Friday, Feb. 13 at Tony Gwynn Stadium. 

Gwynn, who spent 12 years as the head coach of his alma mater, passed away last June after a four-year battle with cancer. 

He led the Aztecs to a 42-21 record and Mountain West Tournament title in his final season at the helm of the team.
