Earlier this offseason, Miller announced the switch from quarterback to wide receiver. Now when Miller takes the field on Sept. 7 at Virginia Tech, he'll also don the new number.
“I changed my number because I feel like it’s a change for me, my family and Buckeye Nation. I just wanted a new start, restarting myself, and I don’t want to remember what happened a couple years ago with my shoulder situation," Miller told Austin Ward. "I’ve got some bad memories, so I just wanted something where I could move forward and look forward to with the excitement of a new beginning."
Redshirt freshman Johnnie Dixon currently wears No. 1 on the Buckeyes roster.
The Buckeyes began training camp Monday, in preparation for the 2015 season. Ohio State looks to defend it's Big Ten and national championships this year.
