Brewers place Michael Blazek on 15-day DL, Barnes to make MLB debut

The Milwaukee Brewers have placed reliever Michael Blazek on the 15-day disabled list and recalled Jacob Barnes from the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

Blazek is suffering from right elbow impingement.

Barnes is set to make his major-league debut with the Brewers after 17 games with the Sky Sox in which he pitched 22 1/3 innings, logging 23 innings pitched, 14 hits, seven walks, a 0.95 WHIP and a .184 OBA.

Blazek has pitched 24 innings through 25 games for the Brewers this season, allowing 28 hits and 11 runs.
