Brewers place Barnes on 15-day DL, recall Blazek

The Milwaukee Brewers have placed right-handed reliever Jacob Barnes on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 26 with right elbow soreness, recalling fellow right-hander Michael Blazek from Triple-A Colorado Springs in his place.

Barnes has appeared in 16 games for the Brewers this season, working 17 innings and posting a 3.71 ERA.

Blazek last pitched for Milwaukee on July 9, and has appeared in 33 games, posting a 5.87 ERA.
