MIAMI -- Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy sustained a mild concussion Tuesday night against the Miami Marlins after taking a foul ball off of his mask.

Lucroy is being evaluated by doctors as part of the concussion protocol. He has to be cleared by the doctors before he can return to the lineup.

"Most likely a couple of days," Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday. "It could be a day, but most likely a couple of days."

The play occurred in the bottom of the seventh inning with Marcell Ozuna batting. Lucroy finished the game and struck out in his final at-bat as the Brewers fell 6-4.

"As the night went on he kind of got worse," Counsell said.

Lucroy is hitting .259 with seven home runs and 41 RBIs in 94 games after making his first All-Star appearance last season.
