Brewers announce 2017 schedule, open at home
The Milwaukee Brewers will open the 2017 season at home April 3 against the Colorado Rockies and finish on the road with an Oct. 1 game in St. Louis.
The Brewers announced their 2017 schedule Wednesday, which includes visits to Miller Park by former AL East opponents Boston (May 9-11), Toronto (May 23-24) and Baltimore (July 3-5). The Red Sox haven't played in Milwaukee since June 6-8, 2003.
Milwaukee will also travel to Toronto (April 11-12) as well as the New York Yankees (July 7-9) and Tampa Bay (4-6). The Brewers and Minnesota will resume their annual interleague home-and-home series Aug. 7-10, with the first two games at Target Field.
The team's longest homestand is a 10-game, 11-day stretch against the Cardinals (April 20-23), Reds (April 24-26) and Braves (April 28-30). The longest road trip of the season is a 10-game, 11-day trip to Pittsburgh (July 17-20), Philadelphia (July 21-23) and Washington (July 25-27). The Brewers will take a nine-game, 10-day road trip in August, traveling to Colorado (Aug. 18-20), San Francisco (Aug. 21-23) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (Aug. 25-27).
The Brewers' final home game of the season will be Sept. 28 against Cincinnati. Milwaukee closes the season with its final four series against division foes (at Pittsburgh, vs. Chicago and Cincinnati an at St. Louis). The only teams outside of the NL Central the Brewers play in the final month are home against Washington (Aug. 31-Sept. 3) an at Miami (Sept. 15-17).
The All-Star break is July 10-13. The 2017 All-Star Game will be held in Miami.
