Blues assign rookie Tage Thompson to AHL's Rampage

Tage Thompson has one point in his last nine games with the Blues.

Tage Thompson, whose production has dropped since a solid start to his NHL career, has been shipped back to the minors.

The Blues assigned the rookie forward to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

Thompson, 20, has six points (three goals, three assists) in 24 games with the Blues this season. But only one of those points came in his last nine games.

The 6-foot-5, 185-pounder has 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 26 games with the Rampage from stints earlier this season.
