Bat Cave rallies to win feature at Monmouth Park

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) Patrick Rochette's Bat Cave wore down Unruly Heir in the final eighth of a mile to post a nearly length victory in the $50,000 allowance feature for New Jersey-bred horses at Monmouth Park on Friday.
Trained by Jane Cibelli and ridden by Paco Lopez, Bat Cave ran 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:05.79. The 6-year-old gelding paid $8, $3.40 and $2.80 in winning for the sixth time in 53 career starts.
Unruly Heir returned $4 and $3.20, and Scobeyville paid $4.80 to show.
