LOS ANGELES -- Senior guard Candice Warthen led the Arizona women's basketball team in scoring for the 15th time this season, but it wasn't enough, as the Wildcats lost 77-51 to USC at the Galen Center on Friday night.

Warthen scored 14 points and grabbed three rebounds, while junior guard Keyahndra Cannon notched her sixth double-digit scoring outing of the season, as she knocked down 4 of 7 shots and dished out two assists.

Sophomore forward LaBrittney Jones chipped in nine points off the bench, also pulling down four rebounds.

Arizona (9-17, 2-13 Pac-12) took a 4-0 lead and kept the offensive pressure coming, eventually extending its advantage to 10-4 over USC (15-11, 7-8 Pac-12) after Jones knocked down a mid-range jumper with 15:32 remaining in the half.

The teams continued to go back-and-forth for most of the first half before the Trojans took a 33-26 advantage into halftime.

Senior Alli Gloyd opened the second half with a made jumper to bring Arizona within 33-28, but the Cats wouldn't get any closer than that.

Arizona will conclude its four-game road swing Sunday against UCLA.
