A wandering fox invaded a single-A baseball game

Published May. 5, 2016 2:14 p.m. ET

The Charleston RiverDogs, a single-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, had some extra company for their game against the West Virginia Power on Wednesday night.

Perhaps this fox was hoping for a tryout in right field, or maybe he just always dreamed of becoming a baseball player. Foxes must be a frequent sight in the area, as none of the players seem too concerned to see him there.

There is no word on what happened to the fox, but he did not prove to be a good luck charm for the RiverDogs, as Charleston dropped the game, 3-2, in extra innings.
