2015 Fantasy Football Team Preview: Jacksonville Jaguars

For your fantasy football draft prep and advice, continue to check on this page for updates regarding the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Team outlook:

Three wins from 2014 earned them the third pick in the draft. Since they drafted a QB with the third-overall pick in 2014, the Jags spent this year's pick on defense. Jacksonville is still a long ways away from contending for a division title, but the weapons on offense could still help you win a championship in the fantasy football world.

Bye week: 8

UPDATE: Julius Thomas fractured a finger in the team's first preseason game. Thomas will miss the remainder of the preseason, but should be clear to return by Week 1. For the time being, Marcedes Lewis and Clay Harbor will fill-in for Thomas.

Rookie impacts: T.J. Yeldon

He led the Jaguars with 677 receiving yards (13.3 yards per catch). Hurns was also second on the team in targets (97) and receptions (51). He might be the most disappointed that Jacksonville went with a new offensive coordinator. Hurns developed quite the rapport with former OC Jedd Fisch, both at the University of Miami (FL) and Jacksonville.

Tight end: Julius Thomas

Bortles' security blanket just got a whole lot safer. Thomas' stock was nearly through the roof when Peyton Manning was his quarterback. Now, it will be interesting to see how Thomas reacts to a younger, inexperienced QB. Is Thomas just another TE that Manning has made famous or is Thomas a legitimate weapon that opponents will fear for years to come.

Team defense (D/ST):

Much like fantasy football, there is nothing more depressing for a team then when they lose their first-round pick for the season. Dante Fowler Jr. tore his ACL the very first day of mini-camp. Even with the easy strength of schedule, I wouldn't select Jacksonville as my team's defense.
