Arizona State athletic director Steve Patterson joins Matt this week to discuss the state of Sun Devil athletics. He talks about the last year, discusses changes made in their customer service department, updates the plans to renovate Sun Devil Stadium and offers thoughts on paying college athletes. Plus, he talks about the success ASU's football and basketball teams are having.

Among his observations:

On how and why they improved the customer service for fans: "We surveyed our customers, and certainly I think our survey results weren't where we wanted them to be. You look out there and one of the great customer service companies particularly for the kind of events they run and facilities they run is Disney ... so we decided to bring them in last summer."

Biggest reason why Will Sutton is coming back: "I think people believe in Todd Graham and what he is doing here."

On the direction of the conference: "We are happy with the 12 schools that we have in the Pac-12. We have great academics, we graduate our student-athletes, we compete for championships across all the sports, not just football. There's a reason they call us the conference of champions, and I'm excited about the future of the Pac-12 under Larry Scott's leadership."
