Skipper Anna Tunnicliffe of Plantation, Fla., has qualified for her second straight Olympics by beating Sally Barkow of Nashotah, Wis., in the finals of the women's match racing trials.
Tunnicliffe and crew Molly Vandemoer of Stanford, Calif., and Debbie Capozzi of Bayport, N.Y., clinched the first-to-six-wins final on Monday at the Olympic venue.
Tunnicliffe, who was born in England before her family moved to the United States, won the gold medal in the Laser Radial at Beijing before switching to women's match racing.
Capozzi is a 2008 Olympian who sailed in the women's keelboat with Barkow. Vandemoer will be a first-time Olympian.
