So many times in sports athletes give us canned answers. For the most part, we all would like to see some emotions after a big win or a loss (Richard Sherman post-game interviews not included).
Still, there is not much room to hide emotions in the Olympic world during scoring, specifically figure skating. The scores are broadcast on air and while the skaters watch, all the while we are watching the skaters.
This can provide a wide range of responses, and we have got to give Ashley Wagner some props for candor on Saturday.
The American skater was pretty happy when she left the ice to get her scores. See?

Well, when the judges gave her a score of 63.10 points in her Olympic debut, that sunshine faded into clouds. And what looks like shock. Probably some disgust, too:
After the judges gave her score, Wagner was...not impressed, to say the least.
Here is what she said afterwards:
"I know roughly when I skate a good program where the score should end up. ... So yeah to score that low was very disappointing for me," she said. "But honestly this performance was more for myself and mentally getting beyond this past couple of weeks. And I wanted to do everything I could to help out the team, and I really feel that I delivered on that part.''
