The Detroit Red Wings trail 2-0 in their first-round playoff series with the Tampa Bay Lightning, but they're not going down without a fight.
Justin Abdelkader brought the pain when a brawl broke out late in the third period of Friday's 5-2 loss in Game 2, slipping out from under two Lightning players and then dropping hammers on Mike Blunden.
Abdelkader earned a game misconduct as 14 penalties were called.
Afterward, though, Blunden wasn't calling for the NHL to come down with discipline.
"It's just a scrum. It's just part of the game. It happens," Blunden said. "Emotions get high and unfortunately my visor came down and split me open. It's part of the game. It's part of the playoffs."
