Minnesota Wild coach Mike Yeo and several members of the team will leave their hockey sticks at home and head to Lake Minnetonka to participate in a bass fishing tournament on Sept. 1.

Superstar Zach Parise, veteran Thomas Vanek will join Ryan Carter, Justin Fontaine, Erik Haula, Nate Prosser, Jordan Schroeder and Jason Zucker among others in The Mike Yeo Classic, which will benefit the Pinky Swear Foundation and the Angel Foundation.

"I'm proud to host this bass fishing tournament for the second year on Lake Minnetonka," Yeo told the team's website. "As an avid fisherman, this is a great way to show my support for the Pinky Swear Foundation and the Angel Foundation, two fantastic local organizations, while doing something I love."

Each boat will have 5 1/2 hours on the water to reel in the heaviest total weight of five fish. A weigh-in will reveal the winner later in the afternoon in addition to a silent auction being conducted.
