WATCH: Bruins rookie Colin Miller nets first career goal

Published Nov. 4, 2015 12:50 p.m. ET

Long before Tyler Seguin's hat trick sent Boston fans home frustrated Tuesday night, one of the newest Bruins recorded a highlight in an otherwise disappointing loss to the Stars by netting the first goal of his NHL career.

Colin Miller, a 23-year-old defenseman, tied the game at 1-1 in the first period when he beat Dallas's Kari Lehtonen on a blast from the point for his first NHL tally.

The goal extended Miller's point streak to four games, as the blue-liner recorded an assist in three consecutive games ahead of Tuesday night's loss. Miller was acquired by the Bruins in the Milan Lucic trade over the summer with the Los Angeles Kings.
