Sidney Crosby scored another awesome goal out of mid-air

Hockey seems to be working out quite well for Sidney Crosby. However, if that were ever to change, he may want to give baseball a shot.

The Pittsburgh Penguins center is making a real habit of scoring by swatting pucks out of mid-air like he's in the batter's box. Crosby did just that against the Coyotes on Monday night, making it the second time he's done it in the past few weeks.

This latest one came after a shot from teammate Evgeni Malkin hit the post and ricocheted upward. Crosby was set up beside the net and quickly locked on to the puck and tracked the descent. While the hand-eye coordination necessary to pull off this kind of highlight is certainly impressive, the most amazing part of this play is Crosby having the IQ and awareness to let the puck drop below the crossbar before smacking it into the net, making it a legal goal.

The goal was just one of many in the Penguins' dominating 7-0 victory over Arizona, but it was arguably the most impressive. It was also Crosby's 21st in 23 games this season. So, yeah, he should stick to hockey for the time being.
