Edmonton Oilers Have Chance to Spark Offense Against Blues
The Edmonton Oilers are currently holding down a playoff spot in Mid-December; it’s an exciting time for Edmonton. This team is finally showing promise of turning the corner and will play meaningful hockey after New Years.
Edmonton is in for a challenge Monday and will take on the St. Louis Blues for another tough, critical matchup. This game is vital, especially if they want to maintain good standing in the tight Pacific Division.
Going into the game, head coach Todd McLellan has made some lineup changes. Matthew Benning and Taylor Beck will sit, and Eric Gryba and Benoit Pouliot get to draw back in. Benning, though excellent so far, will get some rest as the Oilers test out Gryba’s potential. As for Beck, Pouliot gets to show why he should remain in the lineup, meaning the AHL star will get a break.
