Goaltender Jonas Hiller signed a four-year contract extension Saturday with the Anaheim Ducks.

The deal, which will run through the 2013-14 season, reportedly is valued at $18 million.

Hiller, 27, could have become a free agent this summer but now is off the market. He joined the Ducks as a European free agent in May 2007.

This season, Hiller is 21-15-2 with a 2.75 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage.

``This is a very exciting day for me personally,'' said Hiller, who will tend goal for Switzerland at the Olympics. ``Anaheim has been a great place to play, and I couldn't be happier to stay here.''

Hiller is 54-37-5 with a 2.46 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 108 games with the Ducks over three seasons.

``Jonas has proved himself as a starting NHL goaltender,'' general manager Bob Murray said. ``We expect him to only get better.''
