Chicago Blackhawks vs Edmonton Oilers, Live Streaming, Predictions, And More
The Chicago Blackhawks head into Edmonton tonight with the best record in the Western Conference, and the for the first time they will face Connor McDavid since he entered the NHL.
The Chicago Blackhawks are off to a 13-4-2 record which is the top dog in the Western Conference, so for a season which plenty like myself thought the Hawks would struggle they have found a lot of third period magic which has carried them through most of the month of November and for two of their three games on the circus trip.
The Hawks are looking for their third straight win on the trip tonight when they head to a city that they traditionally used to struggle playing in. Back when Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier played in Edmonton, you could chalk up a loss nearly every time the Hawks visited them.
Now, the next great player to wear an Oilers jersey has arrived in the name of Connor McDavid, and the question is will he be able to build the Rexall Place as a haunted house for the Blackhawks once again. Luckily, last season the Chicago Blackhawks missed McDavid twice when he was out with a broken clavicle, but now we get to see the phenom first hand.
The one thing about the last few games for the Chicago Blackhawks is that the outcomes have to give the young Blackhawks confidence. Vincent Hinostroza had his best game of his young career in the third period of the Vancouver game with a goal and 2 assists, and he set up Ryan Hartman for his fourth goal of the year for the game tying goal late in the third during that great comeback.
Will this carry over is the question? One thing we have learned watching the Blackhawks on these circus trips the last few years is that they do build momentum and usually win after win. Here are the listings for tonight’s game from Edmonton.
