Blackhawks' Kane: 'I don't know if I'm extremely happy with my game'
Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane isn't in the mood to throw a parade despite being in the midst of a career-high 16-game point streak.
"I don't know if I'm extremely happy with my game right now," the 27-year-old Kane told reporters, according to Tracey Meyers of CSN Chicago. "I want to improve a little bit here, especially going into the California trip, create more scoring chances out there."
The Blackhawks (11-8-2) are wrapping up their lengthy Circus trip with three games in the Golden State, beginning with Wednesday's tilt versus the San Jose Sharks (13-8-0). Chicago will also face the Anaheim Ducks on Friday and the Los Angeles Kings the following night.
Kane has collected 10 goals and 16 assists on his point streak, which is two games shy of tying the longest such run by an American-born player (Eddie Olczyk, Phil Kessel).
The 2013 Conn Smythe winner, who has scored 13 goals and set up 19 others this season, has 218 tallies and 371 assists in 597 career contests.
Per @EliasSports: @88PKane (10-16—26) is first @NHLBlackhawks player with a 16-game point streak since 1987-88 (Denis Savard: 16 GP).

Kane is 2 games from tying @EddieOlczyk and Phil Kessel for the longest point streak by an American (18). "It'd be fun to do that," he said.
