Blackhawks' Kane excels at hockey, struggles at 'Home Alone' trivia
Patrick Kane hasn't experienced much trouble on the ice this season, but the Chicago Blackhawks superstar stumbled a few times when attempting to score a goal in "Home Alone" trivia.
Kane misfired in his bids to recall the name of the movie watched by Macaulay Culkin's character Kevin McCallister or the item that was stolen from the pharmacy. The 2013 Conn Smythe Trophy winner also was wide of the net on the name the Wet Bandits' used to refer to the McCallister home, but he jumped on the nickname of Kevin's brother in the 1990s classic.
"Buzz. Actually my nickname growing up was Buzz, so he's my favorite character."
Don't get too happy, Patrick. Fellow teammates Corey Crawford, Scott Darling, Bryan Bickell and Andrew Shaw also correctly answered that question.
Then again, Kane likely has bragging rights since he recorded a franchise-best 26-game point streak earlier this season and leads the NHL with 50 points.
Kane's team-leading 21 goals and 29 assists aren't too shabby in their own right, placing him in third and second place in the league, respectively.
