Blackhawks' Hossa out vs. Kings with lower-body injury

Published Nov. 2, 2015 4:12 p.m. ET

Chicago Blackhawks veteran forward Marian Hossa has been ruled out for Monday's game against the surging Los Angeles Kings.

Hossa is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury, one that coach Joel Quenneville wishes does not linger into Wednesday's contest versus the Central Division-rival St. Louis Blues.

Hossa suffered the injury during Friday's game versus the Minnesota Wild. The 36-year-old has collected one goal and three assists in 11 contests this season.

Rookie Artemi Panarin, who is expected to be elevated to the top line versus the Kings, practiced with captain Jonathan Toews and Ryan Garbutt on Sunday.
