Blackhawks' Darling admits getting 'woozy' as President told his story
Scott Darling still is in awe after hearing President Barack Obama discuss the Chicago Blackhawks goaltender's recent random act of kindness.
Accompanying his teammates at the White House last week, Darling admitted to CSN Chicago that he had trouble keeping his composure as Obama talked about his willingness to help a stranger who was down on his luck. In fact, the 27-year-old Darling was surprised to hear the President tell his story.
"Definitely went through a lot to get here and I'm just really proud to be here."@SDarling_33 at the @WhiteHouse.https://t.co/E8Brm5Si04

Via CSN Chicago:
"No idea. I was sitting there thinking, 'Oh my. Is this happening right now?' (Teammate Brent Seabrook) was supporting me. I was getting a little bit woozy there so I was holding onto Seabs."
Darling initially did not share the story of giving the stranger a place to stay and groceries when the Blackhawks visited Arizona after the All-Star break. He only confirmed another's account of the events through Twitter.
Just paying it forward... Lucky to be in a position to help. https://t.co/3peoM1lWLu

While Darling wasn't looking for fame, it appears that it found him instead.
.@POTUS spends some time praising Kimmo Timonen - a fellow "old guy" - and Scott Darling for his recent good deed.
